Gumbo Krewe started when owner Shawn Bradley packed up his kitchen and went to ground zero back in 2001 to feed the first responders following the September 11 terrorist attack. After Hurricane Katrina he and his crew were feeding droves of people and emergency workers jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice.
Almost 20 years later they are still cooking up “Food for the Soul” for emergency personnel. They have been serving weekly meals to hospital staff and EMT’s during the pandemic. Please consider also donating $5 to “Buy A Bowl” and help support the local first responders!
